Welcome to the practice of Mr Ullas Raghavan FRCS

​

Mr Raghavan is a  Consultant in Otorhinolaryngology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is certified by International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery  and European Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Mr Raghavan is dedicated exclusively to facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is Certified by the Royal College of Surgeons for all aspects of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.

Mr Raghavan completed his training in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery from the  University hospitals of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester in the year 2005. As a clinical fellow of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, Mr Raghavan had training in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in various centres in Europe and US.

He was appointed as a Consultant in Otorhinolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery in Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, Mr Raghavan developed facial plastic services within the ENT department, and his NHS work involves 95% Facial Plastic Surgery and 5 % rhinology. He organises a basic facial plastic surgery course in Doncaster and an advanced facial aesthetic surgery course in Nottingham.

Mr Raghavan has published many peer reviewed scientific papers, book chapters on facial plastic surgery and lectured in various meetings nationally and internationally. Since 2007 he has been a national committee member of BSFPS and is the past secretary of British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

 

Mr Raghavan has received training in Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery from the UK and advanced training in rhinology, facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery from the UK, continental Europe, Japan and USA.

Facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery:

​

Mr Raghavan specialises in open and closed septorhinoplasty (nose reshaping) including tip correction, nasal valve corrections and closure of septal perforations. He has one of the largest series of surgical closure of nasal septal perforation with one of the highest success rate. Reanimation techniques for facial palsy including temporalis muscle lengthening procedure is also performed by Mr Raghavan.

In addition to cosmetic rhinoplasty, Mr Raghavan performs cosmetic upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid rejuvenation), endoscopic and other brow lifts, mid facelift, face lift, neck lift, facial implants, pinnaplasty, anti wrinkle injections, laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, chemical peel and scar revision.  He performs deep plane face and neck lift. 

 

Besides aesthetic surgery, Mr Raghavan is interested in reconstruction of various facial defects like total or subtotal nasal reconstruction, repair of facial trauma, reconstruction of defects of the eyelids, reconstruction of defects of pinna using various local skin flaps such as paramedian forehead flap, bilobed skin flap, rhomboid flap, advancement and rotation flaps.
